The original Maxon pickups? Stamped November 17, 1975. Almost 50 years later, it’s still doing exactly what it was built to do! 🇯🇵🎸

In the late ’70s, Japan was getting seriously good In the late ’70s, Japan was getting seriously good at building guitars🔥 Brands like Greco weren’t just making affordable alternatives anymore - they were building instruments good enough to become collectible decades later. This 1979 Greco FV-600 came from that era: a Japanese take on the legendary Flying V, built by FujiGen and loaded with Maxon-made U-1000 humbuckers. Almost 50 years later, these guitars have become vintage classics of their own. Mahogany body and neck, rosewood fretboard, original Orville humbuckers, and that classic slim ’60s SG feel. Lightweight, resonant, aggressive when you want it to be, but surprisingly articulate.
